Specialty contact lenses
A fitting shaped around your eyes.
Contact lens consultations for people with keratoconus.
When the cornea has an irregular shape.
Keratoconus changes the shape of the cornea, which can make vision harder to correct with standard glasses or soft contacts. Specialty lenses, including scleral designs, may be considered after an evaluation.
Bring your history and your questions.
Bring current glasses, lens details and previous eye records if available. Tell us about blur, glare, comfort and what you need to see well for. Dr. Hartman will discuss fitting options, follow-up and whether care with a corneal specialist is needed.
A lens fitting addresses vision; it does not cure keratoconus or guarantee that the condition will stop progressing. Ongoing eye health care remains important.
