Measurements that support the doctor’s evaluation. Ask which readings are relevant to your eyes.
Services
Diagnostic measurements and retinal images help inform an exam centered on you.

Optos Daytona · Retinal imaging
Optomap imaging provides a broad view of the retina, the light-sensitive tissue at the back of your eye. Images help the doctor review and document findings and explain what they mean for you.
Dr. Hartman considers the images alongside your history and the rest of your exam before recommending the next step. Imaging does not automatically replace dilation.
Advanced diagnostic technology
Technology helps gather measurements and images. Your history, symptoms and daily needs still guide the conversation. Dr. Hartman brings those pieces together during the exam and explains what they mean for you.

Ultra-widefield retinal imaging provides pictures of the back of the eye for the doctor to review.

Digital refraction supports the prescription-testing portion of your exam, alongside your responses and visual needs.
Your questions are welcome
Ask which tests are recommended, what they add to your exam, and whether there is a separate charge. Coverage depends on the test and your plan. Retinal imaging does not automatically replace dilation, and no instrument can guarantee that every eye condition will be detected.
optomap
This optomap example comes from Optos patient education material. It shows retinal structures and gives us a way to talk about the findings from your own exam.
An image is one part of the evaluation. Ask which tests are recommended for you and how the findings will be followed over time.
